Set amidst 97,000 sq ft of organic farmland, the weekend home at Raghavpura (Vadodara) sought to perceive architecture reflecting culture and history. The site is located in a private enclave, away from the chaotic hustle bustle of Vadodara city.  

The humanist desire to be culturally connected to one’s surroundings is echoed in the harmonious architecture. The triangular pediments crown the structure, adding a touch of classical opulence. Standing upon the lush plantations overlooking the entire expanse, the design aimed to create a structure that both blends in with and enhances its surroundings. 

Being an architectural design project, the site and its context proved to be the major source of inspiration for ‘Patel’s Homestead’. By using contrasting materials, colour selection and massing treatment, we created a work of architecture that stands in harmony with the environs.
